I'm Bored---The Coronavirus

Let's face it, the coronavirus is scary. It's weird. And, we don't have all the answers. As of today, March 23, when Amelia is writing this, it's just starting to seem real. People are saying that school's going to be canceled for the whole year! So, instead of giving you a bunch of facts that could change within the day, I will give you ways to forget the facts for a while and make use of the extra time!

  • Get in shape! No better way to forget your worries than to work out. All you have to do is squats. Just do enough squats (making sure you can see your feet) until your quads (top part of the leg) start to burn a little bit. Do this every day as a way to get your legs stronger.
  • Do one of our crafts! Almost all of our DIYs you can make from stuff in your house, so you don't have to go to a store! And, if the craft challenges you, it will help you forget your worries.
  • Do a puzzle. I know this sounds sort of boring, but if it's a hard enough puzzle, it could keep you occupied for a long time.
  • Start doodling! Nothing fancy, just doodles on a page until it's filled up. The doodles can help to express your emotions.
Here are some more studios ideas:
  • Take a virtual tour of a famous museum in the world. Even better, text or e-mail the link to a friend and virtually tour it together. Here is a link: parents.com/museumtours Or, you can roll the dice on Google Earth and see where you land or read one of the articles under the navigation wheel.
  • Start journaling each day. You could do this in a paper notebook, or a digital document. Commit to writing 10-20 minutes a day. It could be in response to something you see or read. Or just start writing what’s on your mind. Here are some prompts: writingpromts
Keep living life random,
Amelia
