I Got My Puppy!

Image
Hi everyone! Some of you might remember my  Puppy  post from a couple weeks ago! Wwweeeeelllll, we finally followed through!!  Meet Grizzly Bear, our new puppy! He also goes by: Griz, Grizzy, Grizzly, Grizzy Bear, Grizwald, and more 🥰  Griz and his brother, Teddy, were found on the side of the road in a canyon. All of their other siblings were dead. They were rescued and nursed back to health. A friend of mine’s family started fostering them. My dad took one look, and BAM he was in love 😂 Next thing I knew, we were filling out paperwork to get our puppy!! Here he is now compared to how big he used to be, next to his brother 😍 And here are some new pictures of him as a brand-new baby: And here are some from now: He’s a tad bit terrified of my other dog…

Huge Project!!

Hello! Naomi here! If you read my last post about my Baking Bucket List  you might have caught that I love Taylor Swift. Now I know that many people find her music really annoying but just give her a chance! There are some high key bops in there (specifically I Think He Knows, the entire Lover album and Reputation). So… I found inspiration by the various albums and the vibe / theme or each of them. They’re all so diverse and interesting! So enjoy my mood boards of each of the albums. They each took about half an hour and I love how they all turned out! And let me know if you have an artist/band/aesthetic you want me to make a mood board for! It was so fun! (Not in order of release date!) 1. Taylor Swift (debut) This one has a lot of blue and greens and has a super 2000’s vibe which totally makes sense because it was made in the 2008 ish era! Her first album! 2. Fearless and Fearless (Taylor’s Version) Gold, sparkly and fairytale vibes all the way! Remember that if you want to listen t

LLR’s Photo Contest

Image
Hello, everyone!  I think LLR needs a fun way to interact with readers and viewers and to explore new ways to capture memories and moments around us, which is why we are hosting a Photo Contest! All of our readers are eligible to take a photo, edit it and send it in to us for us to judge. We will decide a winner and there will be a top three podium. Some Ground Rules -  * All photos must be appropriate for us to post on our blog - we’d actually like no people in the photos so we don’t have to deal with privacy preferences and no profanity please! * You may only submit TWO photos. You can submit less, but if you want to raise the chances of you winning, you can take two. * Have fun! Play around with editing, fun backgrounds, skills, etc! This is a great way to share your photography! Send in your photos to 10jack.luna16@gmail.com Love,  LLR

My Baking Bucket List!!

Image
Hey, friends! Naomi here! As you know, I am a pretty avid baker. Recently, our teacher asked us to find a podcast that reflected our passions, so right away I knew it was going to be ballet, Taylor Swift or baking. These are the things that I fill my time with. I did a quick google search and found…. Drum roll please….. The Crumb! A baking podcast that gives you all kinds of baking tips, insights and guest speakers to help you maneuver the world of baking. Now, I’m no pastry chef (that’s the goal!) but I did conquer the French macaron this summer, so I decided to do some digging. I found an amazing blog - Olive and Artisan  which is like, my dream blog. The author, Karlee Flores loves all things food and shares her recipes, tips and home life updates on her blog. I took one look at this blog and knew I loved it. So I scoured it. It seems like every page of the blog is filled with things I would LOVE to try, but I needed to narrow it down to the very best, most sugar filled desserts on

Charlotte’s Story

Image
As you all know, I used to have a 15 year old golden retriever named Charlotte. We put her down on Thursday, September 16, 2021 after we realized that her quality of life had decreased suddenly in the past few months. Today I would like to share her unique story with you all as a way of remembering her. So Charlotte’s first owner is in the army. He owned her since she was a puppy. Every time he was deployed, he would come back to Charlotte and she was his constant throughout life’s hardships.  In 2020, he was set to be deployed to Germany. At that time Charlotte was 14. When they took her to the vet, they said she wouldn’t survive a trip to Germany. This is because she has something called throat paralysis, which caused her throat to close up when she was excited or sometimes just because she was old. He didn’t want to put Charlotte down, and so we offered to take her from them. So we got her in August of 2020. Her birthday was January 25, so she was almost 16! So there is her story,

15 Fall Cupcakes to Celebrate the Sweater Weather!

Image
Hello! If you saw my earlier post about how much I love Fall, you can’t be surprised that I am going to go all pumpkin spice on you over the next few months. As you may or may not know, I love to bake and my crowning achievement this summer was perfect French macarons. But, my favorite dessert of all time (so far) is cupcakes. Basic, I know. But they are the perfect ratio of cake to frosting and they’re really quite simple! Sooooo, let’s take a look at these 15 Fall Cupcakes to Celebrate the Sweater Weather that I have curated from my favorite online recipe website, AllRecipes! 1. Pumpkin Ginger Cupcakes "These taste of fall, and the crystallized ginger gives them a lovely little zing. Even people who don't like pumpkin love these cupcakes. These disappear as fast as I can set them out!" 2.  Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes When sweater weather rolls around, it's only fitting that everything you bake be inspired by this popular latte flavor. "They taste and look like they
