Ok, by now you know that we are obsessed with the Hunger Games. I believe that is the best book in the world, Amelia not so much, but she still loves it.
Quick Summary of the book before we get started:
In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by 12 outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them to send one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.
Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen regards it as a death sentence when she steps up to take her sister's place in the Games. But Katniss has been close to dead before, and survival for her is second nature. Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender, but to win she will have to start making choices that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

Ok, so you got the part about sending one boy and one girl to fight to the death, right? Those are called 'tributes'. Katniss is participating in the 74th annual Hunger Games. These are tributes that are participating with her:

District 1 -

Boy: Marvel - Killed by Katniss with an arrow after he speared Rue.

Girl: Glimmer - Killed by Katniss when she cut the branch where the tracker-jackers nest hung on to the careers campout.

District 2 -

Boy: Cato - Killed by Katniss with a bow and arrow after being attacked by the mutations.

Girl: Clove - Killed by Thresh with a rock to the skull after trying to kill Katniss at the feast.

District 3 -

Boy: Tribute Boy (unnamed) - Killed by Cato (neck snapped)

Girl: Tribute Girl (unnamed) - died in the initial bloodbath at the cornucopia

District 4 -

Boy: Tribute Boy (unnamed) - Died in the initial bloodbath at the cornucopia.

Girl: Tribute Girl (unnamed) - Died by tracker-jacker stings after Katniss dropped the nest on the camp.

District 5 -

Boy: Tribute Boy (unnamed) - Died in the initial bloodbath at the cornucopia

Girl: 'Foxface' - Died of eating nightlock berries she stole from Katniss and Peeta's pack

District 6 -

Boy: Tribute Boy (unnamed) - Died in the initial bloodbath at the cornucopia
