She Moved To Texas

 Hi everyone, Amelia here today.

You might have seen the list of links on our side bar:

Well one of those blogs is She Moved to Texas, a blog about Love, Loss & Horses. I just recently discovered this blog in late March, and since have followed it continuously.

Lauren Mauldin’s blog is so inspiring to equestrians and (ehem) normal people alike. She has a dappled grey gelding named Poet, and you can follow her through the course of their relationship in a journey of joy and pain. This blog has so many stories that make you say ‘Wait a minute, I’m not the only one’, stories that make you laugh, and stories that make you cry.

It’s so inspiring to read about a fellow equestrian that has suffered so much and still finds refuge in the world of horses. Lauren’s blog is so amazing and real that when I finish reading an article I just have to sit for a moment and just say ‘wow’.

I definitely suggest reading Letter To My Younger Equestrian Self, as it gave me such amazing insight into the true world of horses and shows us that life isn’t perfect - that even horses aren’t perfect - but we just need to keep on keeping on. It shows that if you do what you love and love what you do then you don’t need to worry. That pain and suffering are a part of life, and yeah, it might hurt like heck, but you can’t do anything but keep living. This letter shows that the biggest blessings come in the most insignificant ways, and that you can’t always plan whats going to happen. So yeah, this article made me cry. And I 100% recommend it to equestrians everywhere.

So in conclusion, I 10/10 recommend reading this blog She Moved to Texas, and guarantee that it’ll make you laugh, make you cry, and overall just give you a better perspective on life as a human being in love with horses.

Thank you for reading everybody,

Sincerely,

Amelia
